Generation Unlimited: the well-being of young people in Barbados - Report
20 August 2020
The study is an analysis of the characteristics and situation of adolescents and youth in Barbados, and was developed to:
- Facilitate and enhance policymaking and, in particular the National Youth Policy;
- Provide a baseline for monitoring changes in the situation of young people, including progress towards SDGs; and
- Raise awareness about the issues that young people face.
The analysis was conducted using multiple datasets and information sources from government agencies and inter-governmental organisations, and adds to the increasing body of evidence on the young people in Barbados. Topics covered include poverty, education, unemployment, sexual behaviour, violence and exploitation, and climate change among others.
