Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis, February 4, 2024 – In a strategic dialogue fueled by shared goals, The Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, and Didier Trebucq, UN Resident Coordinator for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, charted a course for the nation's sustainable development voyage. During Mr. Trebucq's courtesy visit on Thursday, accompanied by Uzumma Erume, Economist and Development Coordination Officer in the Resident Coordinator Office and Cosbert Woods, UN Country Coordination Officer for St Kitts and Nevis, the conversation delved into critical areas of collaboration.
Mr. Trebucq briefed Dr. Douglas on the UN's ongoing activities in St Kitts and Nevis, commending the nation's successful completion of its first voluntary national audit in 2023. He reaffirmed the UN's support for the nation's pursuit of the 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
