In her message, Mottley highlighted the need to be fair to achieve social justice for all. She said that "at the core to finding solutions for so many of the crises in our world now is a simple concept. It is just called fairness. Fairness is another word for social justice."
Mottley went on to say that "fairness is not just about giving everyone the same thing. It is about giving everyone what they need to succeed. It is about ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to participate in the economy and to contribute to society."
She also called for a new social contract that would ensure that everyone has a fair share of the benefits of economic growth. "We need a new social contract that puts people first," she said. "A social contract that ensures that everyone has a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances."
